Our Language Café t

Our Language Café took us to Bavaria yesterday, and we certainly embraced the theme! 🥨🍺🌭
Residents enjoyed delicious pretzels, sausages and beer while soaking up the wonderful atmosphere. Pete entertained everyone with beautiful accordion melodies before switching to his guitar for some well-loved classics that soon had everyone up dancing and singing along! 🎶💃
It was a fun-filled afternoon full of music, laughter and great company. We can’t wait to see where our next Language Café takes us! ❤️ #languagecafe

💛✨ What a fanta

💛✨ What a fantastic time we had celebrating at our Heart of Gold event, organised by Carebase, to recognise and thank our incredible team for the compassion, kindness and dedication they show every single day.

The afternoon was filled with wonderful country music, plenty of line dancing, delicious food and refreshing mocktails – a perfect way to celebrate the amazing people who make Alderwood such a special place. 🤠🎶🍹

A huge congratulations to our two Heart of Gold winners, Linda and Lou! 🏆💛 This recognition is so well deserved, and we are incredibly proud of everything you both do for our residents, families and colleagues.

To every member of our team – thank you for your hard work, your smiles and the care you give each day. You truly all have hearts of gold. 💛✨

🐰☕ Our Cosy Caf

🐰☕ Our Cosy Café was full of furry friends this morning! 💕

We were delighted to welcome Elicia and her gorgeous rabbits and guinea pigs to Alderwood today. They brought so many smiles, but one tiny 4-week-old baby guinea pig completely stole our hearts! 🥹💖

Spending time with animals can have such a positive impact on wellbeing. Animal therapy encourages conversation, sparks happy memories, reduces stress and anxiety, and brings comfort through those special moments of connection. It’s always wonderful to see the joy our fluffy visitors bring to everyone.

Our Cosy Café takes place on the second Thursday of every month, and we’d love to welcome members of our local community to join us for a friendly morning of refreshments, conversation and activities. Whether you’d like to meet new people or simply enjoy a cuppa in good company, you’ll always receive a warm welcome.

We hope to see you next month! ☕🐹🐰💚
