Every Saturday we host our Coffee Morning, welcoming friends and family to enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Our wonderful volunteer David is on hand serving a lovely selection of teas and coffees, while everyone enjoys delicious homemade cakes baked by our talented chefs. Such a special time spent together 💛✨
This afternoon our Music & Movement session went full West End and we definitely brought the drama (and the jazz hands!) 🎶
We channelled our inner showgirls with some fabulous high kicks, tipped our hats like true stars during Singin’ in the Rain ☔🎩, and sang our hearts out to some absolute classics. From the golden tones of Doris Day 🌼, to a bit of Oliver! mischief 🍞, and of course some colourful coat appreciation with Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat 🌈 — it was a musical whirlwind!
There was toe tapping, shoulder swaying, big smiles and maybe even a little stage-worthy sass 😉 The room was full of energy, laughter and those lovely moments where music just takes you somewhere special 💖
A huge thank you to Mark for turning exercise into a full-blown theatrical experience — who knew a workout could feel like a standing ovation?! 👏🎭
Today was such a special one as we made two lovely wishes come true ✨
The request? A proper treat — delicious food, great company and a chance to just enjoy the moment together. So the 10 of us headed off for a lunch at Miller & Carter… and wow, it did not disappoint! 🥩🍷
Albert was in his element enjoying his steak and being thoroughly spoilt by our manager Nikki — after a really tough few months, seeing him so happy and relaxed meant everything to us ❤️
Sue was surrounded by friends, enjoying a lovely meal, a glass of wine and lots of laughter. She spent the afternoon giggling away with the ladies, and the table was full of chatter, smiles and some very impressive appetites all round! 😄
It was one of those outings that reminds us how important these moments are — good food, good friends and memories being made 💫💛

Mike Short, aged 58, loved swimming until he suffered a brain injury while having surgery when he was 22 years old. Thanks to Alderwood, Mike is ‘making a splash’ by attending weekly swimming sessions.
