ALDERWOOD PROUD TO SUPPORT ROLLOUT OF COVID VACCINE

We are proud to support the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination in our home, boosting our existing safety measures and bringing a much-welcomed light at the end of the tunnel.

With an air of anticipation and hope for the year ahead, the first of two doses was administered by our health partners from the local community to excited residents and team members in January.

Speaking of receiving her immunisation jab, our resident Dorothy says: “There was a party atmosphere the day we got the vaccine. Having it has been a great relief! In fact, moving to Alderwood has taken my worries away.”

Resident Peggy tells us: “I feel top of the world now I’ve had the vaccine and the reassurance it gives.”

Similarly reassured, Alderwood’s manager Nikki Leaney said: “The vaccine gives our residents, care team and families, real hope for the future. There is finally light at the end of this long tunnel.”

As we work with our health partners to roll out the second dose of the vaccine, we continue with the stringent upkeep of our enhanced safety measures that have been in place over the past year. This includes regular testing for team members and residents, high-quality PPE worn at all times by all members of our team, enhanced cleaning schedules, and regular reviews of our approach to ensure we remain at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19.
