What a lovely way to finish the weekend 🎶✨
This afternoon we were treated to the wonderful Joanna singing some of our favourite musical theatre hits. From toe tapping tunes to heartfelt classics, there was plenty of singing along, dancing and smiling all around 💃🎤
The lounge was filled with music, laughter and great company — a perfect end to a lovely weekend at Alderwood ❤️

Another lovely visit from our nursery friends this morning 🥰
We started the day with our usual sing along with the wonderful Betty on the piano 🎹🎶 Filling the home with music, smiles and plenty of familiar favourites.
Afterwards it was time to get messy and creative with some finger painting 🎨🖐️ There was lots of laughter, colourful hands and some fantastic little masterpieces created together!
Mornings like these bring such a lovely atmosphere to the home and are always looked forward to by everyone involved ❤️

This morning we held our very first Cosy Café ☕💐🐰 and what a lovely morning it was!
Our Cosy Café will now take place on the second Thursday of every month and is open to members of the community living with dementia, their caregivers, as well as our own residents. We wanted to create a safe, welcoming environment where people can come together, make connections, enjoy activities, and simply spend time in good company ❤️
Today everyone absolutely loved meeting the cuddly rabbits and guinea pigs, along with a very popular tortoise too! 🐹🐢 The animals brought so many smiles and sparked lots of lovely conversations. We also enjoyed some beautiful flower arranging 🌸 and of course plenty of delicious baked goodies and refreshments 🍰☕
A huge thank you to Elicia from Together Animals for bringing the animals along and helping to run such a wonderful session with us. Your kindness and enthusiasm made the morning extra special 🥰
It was so lovely to see new community connections being made already, and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back next month! 💕
