What a wonderful Wednesday we had! Firstly we visited Beth Chatto Gardens to look at the beautiful display of plants, followed by a delicious beverage and cake. After a spot of lunch we were off again, this time to Tiptree Jam factory. We had a look around in the museum and it was amazing to all of the history dating back to the 1800’s. Shortly afterwards we grabbed a warm drink and tasty treat before heading home. Not a bad Wednesday if you ask me!?

Happy Tuesday! Today we visited Wivenhoe to have a look at the wonderful display of Bluebells, then we took a slight detour to Abberton Reservoir. We found shelter in the cafe and dabbled in some delicious refreshments. We also came across what could only be described as some ‘big old binoculars’ as well!

Today we celebrated the 104th birthday of an incredible lady, Wanda ❤️
A brave and courageous lady who lived through 2nd world war, survived Auschwitz, was separated from her husband due to war and found him many years later when he finally got to meet their first child. They went on to have 4 more wonderful children. Wanda moved to Alderwood 11 years ago and is loved by us all 💚
For her birthday she received another apostolic blessing from the pope ❤️
Her Alderwood family named a star after her ⭐️⭐️
She had so many beautiful flowers 🌺
Her family, friends and some of the local polish community came in to wish her a special day.
A lovely young lady MJ sang us some polish songs. We had a polish bear which the kids loved.
I’m sure Wanda had a brilliant day as did everyone else.
Thank you to all who made it so special 💚
